Charles Dickens was born in 1812. He became one of the England´s most popular authors. He wrote 19 major novels, several short stories and scketches, and he also collaborated on a play. Charles Dickens died in 1870, aged 58. He was buried in Wetminister Abbey, London.
A Dickens´epitaph reads: " He was a sympathiser to the poor, the suffering and the oppressed"; and by his death, one of England´s greatest writers lost in the world. |
